About Us.
Philosophy.
Peregrine Blue is business consulting with an action bias. We emulate our namesake, creating clear strategies and using exceptional vision to see opportunities that are external and internal to your business. Once sighted, we execute rapidly and with precision. Whether that is launching or scaling growth in a new market; or diving deep within your organization to improve an issue.
Simon Allen.
Principal & Founder - Peregrine Blue
Simon founded Peregrine Blue to help businesses execute clear strategies for great results. He has launched and scaled profitable businesses in North America, Europe and Oceania. The key is engaging the entire team in creating the strategy and aligning them with actionable objectives and key results that are specific and measurable. Skills he learned and practiced at Unilever and polished when co-founding and leading Spindle, a software as a service (SaaS) business that leverages internet of things (IoT).
Simon has turned around several operations and equipment business units by combining a fresh perspective on strategy and business models with rigorous analysis of the profit and loss statement (P&L) and balance sheet, digging deeply to find the opportunities in gross margin expense analysis and cash conversion. He creates and integrates systems, budgets and processes to accelerate growth in revenue, profit and cash. These are techniques that Simon used when transforming a traditional equipment and services business to a software as a service (SaaS) business and grow it through the 2007-8 recession.
Simon is originally from the southwest of England where he watched the peregrines along the cliffs. He has a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Nottingham.
Falco Peregrinus.
The peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus), is renowned for its speed, reaching over 200 mph during its hunting stoop (high-speed dive), making it the fastest member of the animal kingdom. The peregrine has exceptional vision, with eyesight that is capable of seeing prey from 2 miles away. Combining speed, maneuverability, engineering and the fastest visual processing of any animal, it strikes with precision, usually mid-flight. The peregrine is highly adaptable and can be found nearly everywhere on Earth, except rainforests and cold, dry Arctic regions.
